Director: Hisayuki Toriumi Year: 1987 Aboard the Sincam corporation Saldes cruiser, the mission of the crew is scouting for new area for mining rights. Passengers boarding the cruiser: Hiro Takagi, Nancy and her cat, Dorthy Van Fallah, Dick Berry, Morgan Scott, Dr. Mead and Jimmy are in hyper-sleep for twenty years. Waking up from the cryogenic sleep the captain of the Saldes learns that there are two impostor on board. The trouble doesn't start there one of the passengers Morgan is found dead from a mysterious infection. What is this mysterious infection that's on the cruiser? Will there be any more casualties? Sharing similarities with "Aliens" and "2001: A Space Odyssey" this was an interesting film. Some character are like able. While I wished the film discussed a bit more of each characters a little more. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Alternate Name: 餓狼伝説 -THE MOTION PICTURE (Garo Densetsu: The Motion Picture) Director: Masami Obari Year: 1994 Trailer: An archaeologist, Cheng Sinzan explores a cavern in Egypt. Discovering an armored leg plate to be one of the six pieces of Armor of Mars. Waiting at the entrance is Laocorn Gaudeamus along with his three henchmen defeated Cheng and destroys the cavern. The sister of Laocorn, Sulia Gaudeamus, is in search of Terry since the defeat of Krauser. At a celebraton party for Joe. Sulia asks Terry for help and agrees to help. The group travel to Rhodes to find clues of the where abouts on the rest of the armor pieces. Will Sulia, Terry and the gang be able to get the rest of the armor pieces before Laocorn? Again I haven't played any Fatal Fury games, but I really enjoy this movie this has a nod to itself, but would've been nice if they would've shown a little of the game footage. Alternate Name: バトルファイターズ 餓狼伝説2 (Batorufaitazu garo densetsu 2) Director: Kazuhiro Furuhashi Year: 1993 In the mountains, Geese Howard who was defeated by Terry; is visited by a half brother Wolfgang Krauser. While Terry is at another part of the country, Terry interferes with a boy named Tony who was fighting a group of boys. Terry faces a challenger with Kim Kaphwan, in amazement Tony asks to be his disciple. Hidden in the shadows of an alleyway, Terry encounters Krauser. Nearly on the brink of death Krauser told Tony that he wants a rematch with Terry at his castle in Germany. Will Terry defeat Krauser in a rematch? Some of the animation felt a little stiff during the fighting scenes. I think that everyone could relate to Terry when he fought Krauser by feeling defeated and wanting to give up. Until there is that one person who helps us. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Alternate Name: バトルファイターズ 餓狼伝説 (Batorufaitazu garo densetsu) Director: Hiroshi Fukutomi Year: 1992 A young Terry and Andy Bogard hang with their master Tung Fu Rue at the park. Terry and Andy's father, Jeff Bogard, being distracted by a group of children who beg for money. A flower girl helps attackers who attempt to kill Jeff. One of the attackers succeeded by stabbing him in the back. Wounded by the stabbing Jeff is confronted by an old rival Geese Howard. Tung makes a promise to the two ten year old to reunite to Southtown cemetery to punish Geese. Will Terry and Andy punish Geese to avenge their father? I may not be highly familiar with the Fatal Fury series, but I've heard of it. The film could explain why Terry and Andy's father Jeff was wanted dead and what happened during the ten year span. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Alternate Name: ももへの手紙 (Momo he no Tegami) Director: Hiroyuki Okiura Year: 2012 Trailer: An 11 year old girl, Momo Miyaura, is suffering from her father's recent death and changes to her life. Both Momo and Ikuko (Momo's mother) depart from Tokyo to a remote island Shio. Momo is still adjusting to Shio. She found a letter that her father left unfinished, because it only has two words saying "Dear Momo". Trying to figure out what her father was trying to tell her. She meets three Yokais: Kawa, Iwa and Mame each having different personalities. Will Momo figure out what her father tried to write her and can she adjust to Shio Island? The movie felt a little rushed and small flaws could be pointed out. It would've been nice if it explained some scenes to flesh out characters and story. The characters are likable, but not really relatable. Overall it's a pretty good film. Rating: ☆☆☆☆             See it

Being sent to assassinate the Prophet. The Duel: An Arbiters decides that the Covenant religion was for him. One of the Prophets indict Fal                   who wouldn't yield, and the Prophet sent an Elite to kill his wife to trap him. Orgins I & II: Cortana marvels her experience and learned about the ancient Forerunners. Narration                          about the past how the Forerunners underestimated the Flood.                          Continuing the narration, Cortana, stating of the rise of humanity civilization and how                          civilization came to be what it is now. Homecoming: Assisting UNSC forces, Spartan Daisy-023 helps to evacuate the forces off the planet.                

Alternate Name: ハル ( Haru) Director: Ryotaro Makihara Year: 2013 Trailer: Modern Japan with advance society that robots could be programmed to behave exactly like humans. In the air everyone noticed a plane accident and were in shock. A Q01 robot is sent to help Kurumi, who just lost a loved one. Will the robot be able to cure the heart of Kurumi? At first I was expecting that the movie was going to be rehash of other movies that most do. However "Hal" was an enjoyable movie. It moved at a great pace keeping everything fresh and exciting. It may be hard to lose a loved one and this movie kind of felt like a second chance. Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆             Must See!

Alternate Name: スプリガン (Suparigan) Director: Hirotsugu Kawasaki Year: 1998 Trailer: Hidden in the mountains of Turkey, a secret organization known as ARCAM believes they have found is the Noah's Ark.  The U.S. Machine Corps is a rouge organization of the Pentagon, wants the Ark for themselves if it mean global supremacy. The problem with the U.S. Machine Corps. problem is a special ARCAM operative Spriggan named Yu Ominae. Who will claim Noah's Ark? I thought the animation was well done, that the characters weren't stiff throughout the film. However it's possible to feel dull at certain moments and a possibility that some scenes were unnecessary. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Alternate Name: ヘルメス 愛は風の如く (Hermes - Ai Wa Kaze No Gotoku) Director: Tetsuo Imazawa Year: 1997 Held captive, Aphrodite, is at the place of King Minos. Hermes helps her to escape and both are married. Hermes tries to figure a way to remove King Minos from Crete ruling. Will Hermes be able to remove King Minos from his throne? Alternate Name: マルドゥック スクランブル 排気 (Marudoukku sukuranburu haiki) Director: Susumu Kudo Year: 2012 Trailer: Continuing their chances at the casino Balot, Dr. Easter and Eufcoque take a higher gamble at black jack. A new dealer replaces the one to challenge Balot and Easter's luck. With this casino linked to the October corperation. Balot plans to finish the case. Will they be able to get the chips that they need or will they fail miserably? Will Balot finish the case on Shell? Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Rescuing Balot and Eufcoque, Dr. Easter escape to "Paradise" that has several secrets of Mardock. What secrets does Mardock hold? Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Now a cyborg with the process of the Mardock Scramble 09, Balot agrees to assist with investigations on the man who tried to burn her alive. In which he is apart of a powerful corporation called October, that conducts illegal activities under the scope. Will Balot find the man who tried to kill her? Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Alternate Name: ヴァンパイヤー戦争 (Vampire Senzo) Director: Kazuhisa Takenouchi Year: 1990 Trailer: With the attention from a French secret service agent, Monsieur Lassar, of a unusual attack on NASA's base in Arizona. A deceased CIA agent was found floating in the Seine in Paris. Lassar believes that these two cases are related in some way and plans to prove it. Will Lassar be able to prove his hunch of the two cases? Rating: ☆             Not worth your time/Avoid

Alternate Name: 黄金の法 エル・カンターレの歴史観 (Ogon no Ho - El Kantare no Rekishikan) Director: Ryuho Okawa Year: 2003 A school boy in the 25th century, Satoru, skims a book called "The Golden Laws" at the New Atlantis library. A crash caught Satoru's attention, and the girl claimed that she's from the 30th century. Satoru told the girl to the 21st century Japan, however they ended up 2300 B.C. Will Sataru and the girl return back to their time or will they be stuck in time? Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it
