Enters the shrine and the room transforms. Gambo (ガムぼ) :  A white bear is a defender for the royal family from a dastardly red demon. A Farewell to Arms (武器よさらば Buki yo Saraba) : A group of men suit up to disarm an robotic tank in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo. This film is pretty good, my only complaint about is that it's a compilation of short shorts. I wish there were more to each short. Possession is my favorite short followed by both A Farewell to Arms and Gambo then Combustible. Speaking

Angel's Egg

Alternate Name:  天使のたまご (Tenshi no Tamago) Director: Mamoru Oshii Year: 1985 Trailer: A young and lonely girl in an abandoned grim city protecting an egg. While have nothing really to do but to collect water in jars she can find while carrying the egg with her at all times. A mysterious soldier stays with the girl to discuss the what's in the egg. Will the girl hand over the egg to the guy she just met or just protect the egg at all times? This film makes no sense and raise a lot of questions. Like where did these characters come from?, Why is this girl protecting the egg?, Why do the characters look drowsy or were they trying to go far a realistic look, etc. And the film doesn't take the time to answer Rating: ☆             Not worth your time/Avoid

Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2: The Sealed Card

Alternate Name: 劇場版カードキャプターさくら 封印されたカード (Gekijoban Kadokyaputa Sakura Fuin Sareta Kado) Director: Morio Asaka Year: 2000 Trailer: With the destruction of Eriol's house being demolished to make room for a new amusement park in Tomoeda, a Clow card became active. Once the park has been built, the mysterious girl hides in the clock tower and secretly steals other Sakura cards from Sakura. Sakura's new challenge to star in a leading role in her school play. Will Sakura get her Clow Cards back? The film baffles me that the character Sakura never noticed that her cards are disappearing until about half her deck at the amusement park, but at least she does pull her wait throughout the film Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Cardcaptor Sakura Movie

Alternate Name: 劇場版カードキャプターさくら (Gekijoban Kadokyaputa Sakura) Director: Morio Asaka Year: 1999 Trailer: It's winter vacation for the students, and Sakura randomly chose a lottery ball to have a chance to go to Hong Kong. While winning the trip, her companion Kero is skeptical of her luck due to sheer luck or was she summoned to visit Hong Kong. Taking her brother and her friends to Hong Kong as they stroll through Bird Street. Sakura senses an evil vibe from two birds and she chases them which leads to a well. Having an encounter of a mysterious woman in Sakura's dreams, she's waking up scared. Is this mysterious woman the cause of the lottery ball winning ball? If so what dose she want with Sakura? What I don't get is that Sakura has to hide Kero, but she can run away transform. What if someone were to watch and see that she transformed. This film reminded me of " InuYasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass " Ratin

The Tale of the Princess Kaguya

Alternate Name:  かぐや姫の物語 (Kaguya-hime no Monogatari) Director: Isao Takahata Year: 2013 Trailer: In the bamboo forest, an old bamboo cutter saw a bamboo stalk glowing. Cutting the stalk inside a tiny girl. Both the bamboo cutter and his wife raise the girl as their own. Later at the bamboo forest the cutter saw another stalk glowing this time the fortune of gold. The bamboo cutter uses the fortune to purchase a villa at the capital. The girl now being known as Kaguya. As news of Kaguya's beauty spreads wealthy suitors compete for her han in marriage. Will Kaguya challenge the suitors ao will she be able to pick one from the start? There wasn't that much of character development and the story felt underdeveloped.  Granted it's based off a folktale, but a little aggregating. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it
