The next day for Kyon in class notices that Haruhi and Itsuki Koizumi aren't in class or even in the club. In Kyon's surprise Ryoko Asakura is sitting where Haruhi use to sit. Not sure what or how to make of this life style since nobody knows Haruhi Suzumiya, except for Kyon. Not even Mikuru knows Suzumiya or Kyon for the matter. Will anyone be able to find Haruhi Suzumiya or will Kyon be stuck in this parallel world? I would freak out like Kyon was if one of my friends were to disappear and lived in a parallel world that nobody knew. Rating: ☆☆☆☆             See it

A short film, but expect to be on a wild ride with Dejiko and friends. ☆☆☆ Watch it

Aura: Koga Maryuin's Last War

Alternate Name: AURA ~魔竜院光牙最後の闘い~ (Aura: Maryuinkoga Saigo no Tatakai) Director: Seiji Kishi Year: 2013 Trailer: At a young age Satou Ichirou imagined he was a hero known as "Mayuin Koga". His classmates were unsatisfied with Ichirou's behavior that they bullied him. At high school, leaving his fantasy in the past. In the begging Ichirou rejects Ryouko, due to similar fantasy memories. However, Ichirou decides to help Ryouko due to her being bullied. Will Ichirou keep his fantasy in the past or will Ryouko resurrect his fantasy? The begging of the first act starts out that there will plenty of action, but after that scene it rolls into confusion. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Psychic School Wars

Alternate Name: ねらわれた学園 (Nerawareta Gakuen) Director: Ryosuke Nakamura Year: 2012 Trailer: A new transfer student, Ryoichi Kyogoku, enters a new school year at Kamakura junior high school. Using his special technique of telepathy to take control the school. Everyone falls under Ryoichi's trans except for Seki. Will Seki be able to defeat or even break Ryoichi's telepathy? An enjoyable film that has a few questionable scenes, but makes you think. So give the film credit for creativity. Not many films do this creativity. There's a line that Seki says that I find very true. The line, "...there is no such thing as a person who "doesn't belong. You're here because there's someone who wants you to be here. Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆             Must See!

Nasu: A Migratory Bird with Suitcase

Alternate Name: 茄子 スーツケースの渡り鳥 (Nasu: Sutokesu no Wataridori) Director: Kitaro Kosaka Year: 2007 Trailer: The Spanish team Pao Pao Beer a byciclest Marco Rondanini passes away, before the team heads to Japan. Ciocci deeply thinks about Marcos death that he might he might be quitting. Will Ciocci be able to over come his friends death? While the first film didn't have that much dept. This one did, giving a little more depth in character and story. Rating: ☆☆☆              Rent it

Nasu: Summer in Andalusia

Alternate Name: 茄子 アンダルシアの夏 (Nasu: Andarushia no Natsu) Director: Kitaro Kosaka Year: 2003 Trailer: A professional cyclist, Pepe Benengeli, competes in Vuelta a España race in his hometown of Iberian of Andalusia. Pepe's former girlfriend, Carmen being wed to his elder brother, Angel, the same day as the race. Will the sponcer of Pepe win the Vuelta a España race? The only problem with this film is short and wish they could've been able flesh out the story. There isn't any big challenge for the protaganist which makes the film a little flat. Rating: ☆☆☆              Rent it

Bodacious Space Pirates The Movie: Abyss of Hyperspace

Alternate Name: モーレツ宇宙海賊 ABYSS OF HYPERSPACE 亜空の深淵                                                                 (Moretsu Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace Aku no Shinen) Director: Tatsuo Sato Year: 2014 Trailer: A third year student at the Hakuho Girls' Academy, Marika Katou, is a busy girl. As a space pirate Marika juggles her studies, space yacht club activites and works a part time job at Cafe Lamp. Aboard her ship Bentenmaru, Marika and her crew recived a job request to rob high class passenger ship to discover that Kanata Mugen posseses a "galaxy pass". Will Marika be able to unfold the secret of Kanata's "galaxy pass"? To me this film didn't have enough to hold my attention due to slow story pacing. Also the character design for Marika Katou reminds me of Athena Cykes from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Dual Destinies. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Arion

Alternate Name: アリオン (Arion) Director: Yoshikazu Yasuhiko Year: 1986 Trailer: At a young age, Arion was tricked by Hades saying that he was his uncle to his mother. Convincing Arion that there's a herb to cure his mothers sight, but instead of finding the herb he is kidnapped to the underworld to be trained to become a warrior to defeat gods. Will Arion be able to escape Hades grasp or will he be in the underworld forever? If you thought that all the Greek gods, where on the good team except for Hades. This film kind of change that up a bit. Rating: ☆☆ Skip It

Bayonetta: Bloody Fate

Alternate Name: ベヨネッタ ブラッディフェイト (Beyonetta: Buraddi Feito) Director: Fuminori Kizaki Year: 2013 Trailer: Awoken from her 500 year slumber from the bottom of the lake bed with no recollection of her past. Embarking on a journey to rediscover her past and battles against hordes of angels along the way. At Bayonetta's side is a mysterious girl named, Cereza who calls her "Mummy", Luka, a journalist that holds a personal grudge and a woman who knows about Bayonetta's history. Will Bayonetta be able to recollect her memory? Who is this little girl called Cereza? Since this is a retelling of the first game, I do hope they do the same for the second. Wheather you played the game or just watched the movie. It's a pertty good series that I hope it continues. Rating: ☆☆☆☆             See it

Blood-C: The Last Dark

Alternate Name: 劇場版 ブラッドシー ザ ラスト ダーク (Gekijo-ban buraddoshi za rasuto daku) Director: Naoyoshi Shiotani Year: 2012 Trailer: The Youth Ordinance Bill curfews the minors from being out too late and regulating their internet usage, but a group of young teens still fight for their rights through an underground group known as Surat. The underground fighters decided to take down Fumito Nanahara, the man who controls Tokyo with his iron fist and the underground fighters use the internet to discover informative information about Fumito. Will the underground group be able to take down Fumito? This film to me felt that it had more depth than "Blood: The Last Vampire", because there is more action and more character development. It dose have a few slow moments, but some of it is regained by some of the action sequences. Rating: ☆☆☆☆             See it

Blood: The Last Vampire

Alternate Name: ブラッド ザ ラスト ヴァンパイア (Buraado zarasuto buanpia) Director: Hiroyuki Kitakubo Year: 2000 Trailer: Saya, a girl who hunts chiropterans (bat-like beasts) that live on by drinking human blood. Fortunately for everyone on the world are groups to destroy the chiropterans. In the mid 1960's, Saya is transfered to a U.S. army base at Yokota Air Base to complete her next mission. One of the chiropterans managed to infiltrate the base and it only a matter of time before it feeds on someone. Will Saya be able to find the infiltrated chiropteran or will it escape and produce more? I felt that when the characters spoke both in Japanese and then English. It's a cool concept, but to me it felt out of place. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Blade of the Phantom Master

Alternate Name: 新暗行御史 (Shin Angyo Onshi),  (신암행어사 Shin Amhaengosa) Director: Joji Shimura, Ahn Tae-kun Year: 2004 Trailer: The king of Jushin's secret agents were known as Amen Osa (depending on Korean or Japanese Amheng osa/Angyo onshi). Until one day Jushin destroyed and only one Amen Osa is still alive. Moonse, the only survivor meets a wondering traveler named Monlyon in the heat of the desert. Monlyon tells Moonse about the story about his fiance and that he's trying to rescue her, Moonse helps him on his quest. Will Moonse be able to rescue Monlyon's fiance? In a way this film felt like a PlayStation 2 title or even a digital game from either Steam or PSN than a movie. This film has a few entertaining moments, but also raises a lot of questions. Rating: ☆☆☆             Rent it

Asura

Alternate Name: アシュラ (Ashura) Diector: Keiichi Sato Year: 2012 Trailer: During the mid 15th-century Japan, where drought and famine turning the town into a wasteland. Abandoned as an infant, forcefully Asura must learn how to survive the wild. By killing human as food, Asura was saved by a young girl named Wakasa. Wakasa teaches Asura how to speak and learn how to love. Will Wakasa be able to tame Asura or will Asura unable to control the beast inside him? This film has a beautiful animation and didn't feel cheep or ruined the story. Anyone want to take a guess who voices Asura? I'll take a well know character as an answer. Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆             Must See!
