Who's left behind?

Alternate Name: うしろの正面だあれ (Ushiro no Shoumen Daare) Director: Seiji Arihara Year: 1991 In 1940 Japan, a young little girl, Kayoko is a bit of a crybaby, and it's no surprise to everyone in the neighborhood. She is the fourth child in the family and expecting another on the way. Excited to become a big sister, Kayoko partially understands a little of the responsibility the might bring. When the war becomes a problem for everyone they sacrifice their belongings to help the army build explosives. As Kayoko grows older, she noticed that war affected everyone including herself. Will Kayoko and family make it out of this war or suffer a horrible death? This film reminded me of  "Barefoot Gen" , but not as graphic as that movie had. You feel for Kayoko's family hopping that they will carry on, but since tragedy of the war caused everything to fall apart. It had to be hard on everyone who had to survive during the war.
